Oregon Coast Holiday - Day 3

Ahh... the first morning to wake up in the tent. We can hear the ocean waves in the distance and the sound of other happy campers going through their morning routine fills the air. The smell of wood smoke, stoves, camp coffee and bacon drifts around us.

The first stop is the Battle Rock Wayside in Port Orford - a great way to start the day. We explore the beaches and the tunnel linking them. Connor could stay here all day but we've got so much to see and do!

Linda asked about whales and the lady at the visitor centre said we might see them at Garrison Beach so we head there. The winds picking up, the surf's growing and it's difficult to see anything but we have a blast running down the dunes. Connor does it repeatedly - he's a ball of energy! No whales though.
