Mother's Day Portrait Dedicated to My Mom
When I was 18, I lost my mom to cancer. I used to be able to close my eyes and hear her voice, picture her clearly and feel her warmth in my heart as if she were still here. Over the years, those memories have faded.
It's been 25 years since she passed away (April 26th) and to this day I really wish I had a great picture of just me and my mom to keep memories of her close and to remind me of the indescribable love that only and a mother and child share. I'd put it up in a prominent place in our home and be reminded of the amazing woman she was and who I aspire to be like everyday.
For this Mother's Day, I invite you to take the time to capture memories with your mother and not take them for granted.
In honour of my mom and every mother, I'd like to offer a custom portrait session with your Mom, your Grandma and/or your Child. I want to create beautiful, meaningful images that will remind you of the most cherished women in your life.
Sessions will be offered from April 26th - May 31st, 2012 with three package options to choose from. Part proceeds will go to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society. To book your session, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 604.328.2903.
As a special bonus to your portrait session, Suzanne Sutherland of Thermographic Imaging (www.breastthermography.ca), who also lost her mom to cancer, is offering a $25 credit towards a Breast Thermagraphic Imaging session, a non-invasive, safe and painless breast screening. I leave you with a portrait of me and my son Connor on the sand dunes in Oregon, a few portraits of cherished mothers and a song my husband Mike sent me while writing this post as a true reminder... enjoy!
