Mother's Day weekend for us is a two-fold celebration as it's my husband Michael's birthday on the 8th and of course Mother's day a couple of days later.
This year we celebrated a few ways - Connor had his first soccer camp day on the Saturday which he was super happy about because he was on the waiting list for it for just over a month. We then ventured down to Lonsdale Quay to have a bite then got a fabulous tour of Greenpeace's largest vessel, the Esperanza. It was inspiring to learn about the ship and the successes they are having in standing up to Big Oil in the Arctic and other areas in the world. There is much to do so I signed up to be a volunteer! Perhaps being a Greenpeace photographer is in my future..yes!
Later that evening we hosted a small gathering of close friends and family to celebrate Mike's 50th birthday at which I hope I boosted his ego by sharing all the many achievements and accomplishments he's made in his life so far!
Mother's Day we had a relaxing day in West Vancouver enjoying the farmer's market and play time at John Lawson Park. Connor loves taking pictures so the last three shots are his that he took - so cute watching him with my big camera!
I hope you enjoy the highlights from our weekend and that your Mother's Day weekend was extra special too!
